My Dad had his 70th birthday this past Sunday. To celebrate, we went on a family camping trip to Lake Roberts, New Mexico. It was beautiful and green, the weather was nice and cool and the best part was that we could "camp" during the day and evening, enjoying the campfire and family, and then drive a short distance to our quaint, little, motel to shower and sleep in a king size bed!
We saw lots of wildlife, bugs, turkey and deer. Roy and the kids tried their best to catch some fish, but none were big enough to keep. We ate unbelievably good, had a fun birthday party with gag gifts and a pinata, and made smores every night! We got to spend a couple of relaxing days with my Mom and Dad, my sister and her family and my Aunt Ginny, Aunt Glynna and Uncle Roger were even able to come up for an afternoon. It was a great time!
